Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's legal career is centered around family law. She has a passion for it. She concentrates a large portion of her practice on divorce cases, alimony disputes, the distribution of marital property, child custody battles, child support arrangements, postnuptial and prenuptial agreements, post-divorce enforcement issues such as step-parent or private party adoptions and concerns about child welfare. In addition to family law, Ashley also handles estate planning matters, including wills, trusts, probate, and estate administration, as well as commercial contract, civil litigation cases. Ashley has served a court-appointed mediator since 2019 she assists parties in helping them settle their disputes without need for litigation and court involvement. Ashley mediates private disputes and also court-appointed mediation for individuals who want to stay clear of the court process and litigation.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. Then, she pursued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. In 2013, she graduated, and excelled in her studies, placing among the top 10 students in her class. Ashley was a Note Editor at the Western New England Law Review during her time in law school. This proved her dedication to scholarship and legal research.

Ashley began her clerkship after completing her law degree. She worked for notable jurists from Connecticut and Maryland. She was fortunate enough to serve as a law assistant for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson at the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott. In 2014, she returned home to her hometown of Hagerstown to work as a clerk for the Honorable M. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. as an associate attorney. Her primary focus at the firm involved representing the Washington County Department of Social Services in cases concerning child welfare. Through her dedication, Ashley played a vital role in helping children who were victims of neglect or abuse at the hands of their parents or caregivers. Her dedication to fighting social injustice extended beyond her legal career when she was an active member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force. She worked tirelessly to raise awareness regarding human trafficking in the tri-state region.

In 2017, she became a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., where she developed her practice in the area of family law including divorce, custody, child support and guardianships - aswell for estate planning, such as wills, trusts and powers of attorney, advance directive/healthcare proxies and mediation.

Ashley started Wilburn Law Office, LLC in 2023. The company was founded with a commitment to providing a personalized approach to every client's needs.
